Taking a rest day in Tui, Spain. I slept in, had a nice breakfast (more tortilla de patatas, I can’t get enough), then walked into town to do some laundry in the fanciest, cleanest, most high-tech laundromat I’ve ever seen.
While waiting for my laundry, I finally added captions to most of the photos on the Photos page, in case you want to check out more pics than just the ones I add to these posts or include in my reels.
At the lavanderia I met a couple from Michigan who are walking with two other couples, all of them over age 70.
After I return my laundry to the room, I’ll clean back to walk around town, although it is sleeeeeepy because it’s Sunday. Nothing at all (except this 24-hour laundromat) is open. I might even go to mass at the cathedral—what the heck, while in Spain…
Oh, there’s also a convent where the nuns sell cookies through a little window—I hope they’re open on sundays because I do like cookies.
Really hoping my blisters are better by tomorrow. These teva sandals are awesome, but I’d rather not walk 10 miles in them tomorrow. Not enough ankle support.
Hasta luego
